Work + wifi + coffee spots in Downtown NYC

Remember my London post about my favorite wifi work spots in the city? Well, I thought it was time to make one for New York as well! Because changing environments stimulates me and make me a more efficient worker, I've been trying out several spots in the city (mostly downtown) where I can get some work done while drinking a good cup of coffee. My main criteria are: spaciousness, comfort and wifi. I've selected thirteen places which tick all the boxes!
Work + wifi + coffee spots in Downtown NYC

1. La Colombe, NoHo Lafayette
My number one spot to work at because the coffee is great, there is tons of daylight pretty much all day and they have good little tables to work on. It can get very busy here so come early or be prepared to wait a little while until you can get a table. It's worth it, though.
Wifi: none, but I use the free wifi from Blink across the street, always works for me.

2. Le Pain Quotidien Bleecker St.
This LPQ just opened so it's not crowded at all, especially during the week it's very quiet which makes it perfect for working/studying. I'm not a big fan of the coffee here so I usually get a lemonade. They also serve good food all day like tartines and soup. The wifi is very reliable here.

3. Gotan Tribeca
This is a good spot for if you want to get work done but at the same time grab some breakfast or lunch. The food is actually delicious here, which is often not the case in these "wifi work spots". Can get busy so come early, it also closes quite early at 5PM daily. There are plenty of power outlets, a big plus!

4. Think Coffee Mercer St.
This is a really big café where people sit just to get work done, so the wifi can be a bit slow sometimes. But you can sit here for hours and hours without being bothered, which is a plus.

5. Toby's Estate Coffee West Village
Another spot with large windows so a lot of sunlight, especially in the morning. The coffee is excellent here, try the cortado. This place is a bit smaller than the others but I've never had a problem with getting a seat here. Oh and they have excellent avocado toast/eggs on toast.

6. Saturday's NYC West Village
A slightly less conventional work spot since this is a concept store for men with a coffee bar inside. I like this one on warm days because you can sit outside on a bench with an iced latte and get some work done al fresco and do some people watching at the same time. Also good for a brainstorming session with a friend/colleague.

7. Joe's Coffee Cadillac House
This is a café inside a Cadillac showroom. Might sound strange but it's one of the most comfortable and less-known work spots I have found. You can sit at a table or in the world's most comfortable couch. Joe's Coffee is always good and the wifi is fast + free.

8. Stumptown Coffee Roasters
I have only worked here once because this place fills up real fast, so come early or don't come at all. The coffee is great and there's a nice old-fashioned/hipster vibe here.

9. Ludlow Coffee Supply
This is a very small place, so you need to be lucky to get a spot but try to get one at the windows, at the little sunlight flooded marble tables. I like this place a lot because the baristas are friendly and it feels quite intimate to work here. Try their amazing coffee and avocado toast.

10. Whynot Coffee
This place was basically made for freelancers: freestanding tables for one person, lots of power outlets, open till 10PM and free wifi. And lots of caffeine. Nothing else needed.

11. Café Henrie
Thanks to its random location, this place is very good for a calm working session. They serve tasty banana bread as well as the best avocado toast I've tried in NY. It's nice and spacious, and it feels very relaxing to sit here.

12. Suprema coffee
If you're in the mood for a glass of wine and some appetizers, but you still need to get some work done, this is the perfect spot. Maybe a good place to get some creative writing done? They open up the windows when it gets hot, so it feels like you're sitting outside.

13. De Maria
A good spot to come on weekdays in the morning and afternoon. It gets busy during lunch time so it feels less appropriate to be working here around that time. Get inspired by the beautiful environment and food. There's nice oldies music playing and you can sit right in the sun with your dragon bowl.

This is the list so far, but I'll be adding new spots to the list once I've discovered good ones. If you have any recommendations for me, please let me know in the comments!
