The Butcher's Daughter | NYC

On my first morning in New York, I walked over to The Butcher's Daughter for breakfast. I had been wanting to go here for ages, and since it's only a 10-minute walk from where I'm staying now, there was no reason why I shouldn't go (except the rain, but that still didn't stop me). This little place serves up one of New York's best vegan brekkies, so I'd been told. The Butcher's Daughter | NYC

I went around 9 AM on a Tuesday morning and it's was practically empty inside, but I heard that weekends are crazy busy. The place is quite small, so be warned;) During warmer days you can also sit outside.

Although avocado toast is probably my favourite thing to eat for breakfast (and I heard that the one here is one of New York's best), I wanted something warm. So I took the oatmeal with almond milk and banana.

The oatmeal was delicious but it was so much! I could barely finish it, but it kept me going throughout the day until it was dinner time. I love that there are so many good vegan options here. I often have a limited selection of things to choose from at regular restaurants but here I can choose almost anything.

I think I will avoid The Butcher's Daughter on busy days and only go on weekdays when it's calm. It's a lovely little spot! I totally understand the hype ;)
