7 x healthy & vegan hotspots in London

Because I lived in London for three years, I'm still often asked about the best places to eat in the city which has a million food-options. I wrote quite a few reviews over the years, so since some of you might be new to my blog, I thought I'd so a recap of some of my favourites. What I miss the most is the huge choice in healthy places, delis, take-aways etc. so I've lined up 5 of my favourites for you today!
5 x healthy & vegan hotspots in London

1. Le Comptoir Libanais

Although this Lebanese/Middle Eastern eatery is pretty much all over London, it's still one of my top places. When I was in the mood for falafel, this was the place I'd go to without fail. Their wraps and salads are fresh, full of flavour and very filling. The prices are also very reasonable and you can also take-away. It never disappoints!

Locations: Heathrow T4, Liverpool Street, South Kensington, Stratford, Wigmore Street, Sheperd's Bush, Chelsea, Bluewater

2. 26 Grains

Though I've only tried this place once, I was hooked from the first bite. 26 Grains only does porridge and they do it SO well. Best porridge/oatmeal I've eaten in my life. Creamy, rich, flavourful and the best way to kickstart your day. The menu is seasonal so there's always a new flavour to try (the Matcha Cacao Coconut sounds like a dreamy combo) - review

Location: Neal's Yard

3. The Mae Deli
With The Mae Deli, Ella wants to show people how good and non-restrictive vegan food can be. There are also meat- and fish options, but with all the beautiful colourful plant-based options there's no real need to add these. You can make your own salad, have a juice/smoothie or try one of Ella's famous pecan brownies. And breakfast is served all day! - review

Location: 21 Seymour Place

4. Savage Salads

This was one of my top favourite salads when I lived in London. It's a little food stall where there's a guaranteed queue of people waiting to get their hands on a Savage Salad. But no worries, the chefs are super quick and you don't need to queue for long. It's a heavenly combo of three kinds of salad (with grains), grilled halloumi, thyme grilled chicken and pita bread. You can also have it vegetarian or vegan. Amazingly tasty, filling and cheap! - review

LocationsBerwick Street Market in Soho Monday-Friday, Strutton Ground in Victoria Monday-Wednesday, St Giles in the fields market in Covent garden every Thursday

5. Ottolenghi
A little pricier than the other options so perfect if you want to treat yourself. Ottolenghi (famous for his cookbooks) has a few delis in London where the salads and cakes are piled high. You kind of want to try everything they have. A super mix of flavours, colours and textures! - review

Locations: Belgravia, Spitalfields, Notting Hill, Islington

6. The Detox Kitchen
This place is similar to Ottolenghi, but they also offer healthy meal packages which will get you through the day and make you feel better! (for example there's a vegan package with three meals, three snacks and a juice) You can also sit down and eat in, or do take-away. There's a daily changing menu of raw salads and mains, juices and snacks. Always healthy and fresh! - review

Locations: 10 Kingly Street, 10 Mortimer Street and Selfridges Food Hall

7. The Good Life Eatery

This place was a huge hype when I left London in 2014, and since then they've opened two more locations. If you like L.A. vibes, colourful juices and super healthy food this is the place for you. The Good Life Eatery made healthy eating cool, with fun names like 'Hipster bowl', 'All Green Everythangg' and 'The Man Bowl'. With the hype comes a price-tag, but the food really is delicious and very instagrammable. - review

Locations: 69 Marylebone Lane, 59 Sloane Avenue, 20 Motcomb Street
