Ibiza diary

Today, I'm letting my sister take over my blog. She just came back from a yoga retreat in Ibiza and she wanted to share with you (and me!) some of her favourite moments of the trip. Thank you sis, love this post, holiday vibes!
- Hi, my name is Aimélie and like my sister I share the same interests in food, fashion, health and travels. For this post I have a few tips I wanted to share with you about my recent trip to Ibiza. For sure not a traditional visit, as we went there for a complete detox for our body and mind.
It all started with my favourite morning smoothie at home. That afternoon I was going to join a group of friends for a 5 day yoga retreat in Ibiza. We arrived late in the evening and we were driven straight from the airport to our new 'home'. A beautiful house with a pool, a luscious green garden and a view on the most incredible deep blue water.

Our schedule: an active yoga session in the morning, brunch at 11 with healthy dishes and again a yoga session in the evening, which was more meditative and calming. What did we do in between? Not much besides reading, tanning and swimming. A holiday that made us feel happy and carefree.

The right accessories for the first beach day (H&M bikini) || View from the house

Scenery in Ibiza  || My favourite travel companion in the palest blue (Gucci Disco bag in blush)

Our first beach stop was at Tropicana beach. Fried Chipirones (Spanish for squid) with a glass of wine and a mojito. Our toes wriggling in the sand  || Everywhere on the island you can find little beaches dotted around where you rent a parasol and a sun bed. Staff will whisk around to make your salt and sweet cravings come true.

During one of our walks we came across our dream beach house || Everywhere you look you are surrounded by waving palm trees, blue skies and the Mediterranean sea.

Es Torrent beach is a very calm beach compared to Tropicana. This was my favourite hangout because of it's smaller size, which made it feel more private. This beach also has a restaurant where you hear people softly chatting and cutlery tingling while they are enjoying a delicious fresh seafood lunch. From underneath the restaurant's pergola you have an amazing view on the palm tree parasols, people sunbathing on the sun beds and the coast. || A traditional Spanish dish, pulpo a la gallega, that I enjoyed one afternoon for lunch on Es torrent beach

At Es Torrent. Can you tell I love wearing blue on holidays? || A healthy breakfast bowl. Hidden underneath the berries and banana is an oatmeal porridge made with almond flakes and almond milk.

My favourite beach outfit (Zara vest / New Look playsuit) || The most inviting colours for a dip in the pool

Grilled squid in Es Torrent || Followed by Pimientos del Padron, grilled green peppers with a touch of salt

I love my beach bag with waving palm trees || Perfect necklace for a night out in a seafood restaurant

Pictures of our delicious brunch. This time I had a green juice, tea with milk and a quinoa porridge with berries and fresh grated coconut. Can I say I was in food heaven?  || Fresh berries and watermelon

Caprese salad, quinoa pizza, beetroot humus en avocado for our last brunch || The most calming tones of blue - green

One night I wore this gorgeous jumper (Dries Van Noten blush jumper) || I wouldn't mind waking up with this view every day

My favorite dress for our last night in Ibiza (Victoria Beckham dress) || During our meal we had a gorgeous sunset to enjoy. We laughed and cried that night as some of the ladies had some incredible stories to tell

Our main dish: grilled fish - crisp potatoes and lots of butter || Pan con tomate, a classic. Tomatoes & olive oil

Mojito on the beach, yes please ||  Ready for my flight but not ready yet to leave this paradise (Zara vest / Zara boyfriend jeans / white Converse / DVF sunnies)

Thank you for letting me share this little adventure with you,

Aimélie
