I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say I feel like it was Christmas just last week and now it's March... Seriously? Time passes when you're having fun I guess! February was my first full month living in Munich with a little get-away squeezed in to Vienna. Also a month with lots of good food as always:) I love making these posts and you seem to love reading them. Let's go!
My supervisor always brings the latest Dutch magazines from Amsterdam, perfect to read during a little tea break. // Beautiful day in Munich, which were pretty rare this month
Okay now it seems like the sun always shines in Munich, but I only takes pics outside when it's NOT snowing or raining ;) here it's coffee time after lunch, taking in some sun rays // I love when the gym is empty, got it all to myself. Unfortunately I have to wake up early for that perk
Delicious mango lassi at Orange Box // sweet potato from the oven with feta, avocado and rocket, easy dinner
Saturday drinks at Fantom bar, a really nice place with excellent Moscow Mules. // outfit of the night, all black as always
Cute new café which opened around the corner: Café Emil. The comfiest couches and sweet staff // vegan lunch at YAM Deli
At work we have lots of good snacks: yoghurt, fresh fruit, dried fruit and nuts. Salted almond and cashews are my fave // a picture from back home, cutest kitten in a bag. I miss my pets so much!
Rosy cheeks selfie, the result of biking in the freezing cold. It's so easy to get to places by bike, so I just wrap up as warm as possible // waiting at Starbucks in Vienna with a super Green Iced tea (just ask for unsweetened). I'm not a Starbucks fan at all but I do love the iced teas
Escaped Munich for a weekend in Vienna with my family. The weather was gorgeous and so was the city // amazing brekkie: scrambled AND boiled eggs, the best bacon I've ever had and walnut bread. We stayed at Hotel Das Triest; I can really recommend it
Best soft drink: Almdudler // enjoying the sun
St. Peter's church, what an impressive church! Once inside you could climb all the way to the top (elevator + stairs) to the highest point you see on the left picture. Crazy high but worth it, the view was cool! Quite scary though, since the construction didn't feel super stable.
The cool Palmenhaus restaurant/greenhouse/butterfly house // always love Rubens' work. Kiddies playing with a crocodile!
Dürer's drawings are amazing, especially all the animals. His little owl is on of my favourite works of art ever, and I've longed to see it for many many years. It's located in the Albertina museum in Vienna so I got really excited to finally see it in real life. So you can understand that my disappointment was huge when they told me the work is too precious to be exposed, so it can only be viewed privately :( I must see the little owl once in my life! // The albertina museum had some really other great works fortunately!
Inside the Palmenhaus. This is the restaurant-area, how amazing is this?! A full-on indoor jungle, while people sip on coffees and fresh juices. One of my favourite spots in Vienna! // I love Fontana's works. This bright yellow brightens your mood instantly.
When you're in Austria, you have to eat Kaiserschmarrn, soo tasty! // I came home after the gym one night, and only had about 30 min to shower, get dressed, eat dinner and bike to the cinema. So I ate a petit pain from Dom Pierre with salted butter for dinner. So good and no, I don't regret anything!
Coffee date catch up with Isabel during our lunch break // breakfast and Dutch Vogue, best combo!
Spotted these really cool coffee cups at Zara home. They are thin and fragile, which I love. I bet my coffee tastes 10 times better from these cups // impressing my colleagues with my (non-existing) latte skills haha! The trick is to first pour hot foamy milk in the glass and then a double espresso. Being able to make actual cool latte-art is still on my to-do list.
Gotta love elevator selfies.. with a dirty mirror // headed out for Chinese dinner. All you can eat. You throw a bunch of veggies, fish and meat in a hot broth and let it bubble away. Quite tasty but VERY messy. Karaoke afterwards completed the night; fun Friday!
I went to Viktualienmarkt for the first time a few weekends ago, a super nice market in the centre of Munich // They have lots of special fruit and vegetables, such as this Buddha's hand lemon
I came home with flowers and cheese instead. Anemones are my favourite spring flowers // sourdough bread from Manufactum, since they ran out of my favourite walnut bread (that's two weekends in a row! They told me to pre-oder next time, what?! Munich people take bread very seriously)
Swimming and sauna, super relaxing!
Made courgette pasta one night, should do that more often it's so good // roasting sweet potato, carrots and pumpkin for my curry
My mom brought over my Body & Fit order to Vienna, love this shop. Will write a post about it it soon // Another pic from back home, my sweet Nocho and spring flowers
In love with my cat socks from Argentine brand Las Pepas // Even more in love with this shoot in Harper's Bazaar. It's called 'In the Stars' in which different models depict a Zodiac sign. Of course my favourite is Rosie doing the Leo
Brekkie time // I bought these tiny bananas and they were delicious. More firm and less sweet than regular bananas.
Relaxing at the Spa with some music and lime water // couldn't sleep one night so I did some online shopping, where is my order though, been waiting too long!
Old & new buildings in Munich // dinner with Annemerel at Orange Box. Review coming soon!
This area of my gym kinda looks like a playground // new breakfast discovery for me: quark! High in protein which is always a good thing.
On a night out, I made a small pitstop at home because I got hungry so I got speltcrackers #hungrygirlproblems haha // fun night with some girls from work!
I finally got a blender/mixer in Munich so I can make smoothies again. I missed it SO much, I can't even explain. Can't wait to make pretty smoothie bowls again in spring // love these french fries espedrilles from Chiara Ferragni
Annemerel and I set the alarm at 7 am to go for an early run before work (yeah.. I would never do that by myself). I can't disappoint the most fanatic runner I know, so we ran 6 km at a relatively good pace, considering the fact that I ran once before in 2015 // made myself a badass smoothie for after my workout, so tasty. Will share the recipe this week!
There's a Vietnamese place next to work where I get lunch once (or twice) a week. Tasty & fresh! I love the shrimp spring rolls and the shrimp mango spicy salad. Both dishes are less than 4 euros so it's quite cheap too
Girlsnight with champagne, fancy make-up and a delicious dinner at Cochinchina. My favourite kind of nights! // popped into Zara after work to browse a bit. Finally caved for this little pink jacket in the very last sales (€20 reduced from €70)
Food truck outside work, how awesome! This time we had seriously delicious pizza from Napo Amo food truck.
What to wear when you're too lazy to go out on a Friday night and you choose to watch Real Housewives in bed instead? Right, my LOSER t-shirt haha // smoothie bowl with quark, coconut and peanut butter, so tasty
Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my daily life. I'm ready for March and the first days of spring (pretty please!)
