5 beauty favourites

Here's little beauty post for you today. I've bought some new products this winter, and the following five have quickly become firm favourites. I only tell you about products I really love so of course I can recommend you all of these!

Catrice light reflecting concealer - 010 Ivory
I randomly picked out this concealer at the drugstore here, since I ran out. I quite liked the sound of "light-reflecting" which is why I picked it, and also because Catrice concealers are generally good and cheap (this is my favourite). Though I would have liked a slightly lighter colour for under my eyes, this concealer covers the blue-ness of the under-eye area perfectly. The brush (touche ├ęclat type) applicator works fast and easy. Coverage and consistency is great! I will definitely re-purchase, though in a lighter shade.

REN Vita Mineral Omega 3 Optimum Skin Oil
With ice cold temperatures and hot showers to battle the cold, my skin always feels very dry during winter. My skin needs a little extra, so next to my Avene moisturiser, I use this oil at night and/or in the morning. It's not greasy and sinks into the skin very quickly, but still gives it an extra protective layer. The scent is very subtle and it's suitable for all skin types. Love it!

Lush Lemony Flutter nail treatment
I never understood why a cuticle/nail treatment could be so popular, so I finally caved and got Lemony Flutter to try for myself. The scent is incredible: it smells like lemon cupcakes, a strong but at the same time natural scent. I apply this to my cuticles and other dry areas on my hands at night before going to bed. It's the perfect remedy for dry winter skin!

Invisibobble hair tie
This may look like the weirdest hair tie ever, but it somehow works amazingly. It's awesome because it doesn't damage the hair, stays in place and most importantly (for me), it doesn't make creases in my hair like regular hair ties do. You can also easily wear it around your wrist. I received a blue invisibobble in September, but it broke last week after using it almost every day for 4 months. So I got a new set of three see-through ones. Never thought a hair tie would become so essential for me!

Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express
I bought this back when I was living in Amsterdam, on a buy-one-get-one free deal. I got Maybelline's The Falsies mascara and The Rocket. The Falsies didn't impress me at all, but this electric blue The Rocket mascara is a totally different story. The brush is similar to the Benefit They're Real brush, and it works really well on my lashes. I still prefer the Benefit Mascara, but this is a really good drugstore dupe. Long and voluminous lashes guaranteed.
