Raspberry oats

I've been having this breakfast nearly every day for the past two weeks, so I thought it was worth sharing. It's damn cold in Munich, so smoothie bowls aren't what I'm craving in the morning (also, I don't have a blender here). I want something warm that will keep me going, and raspberry oatmeal just the perfect thing.

What you need:
- Milk (use any kind you fancy)
- Oats
- Cinnamon
- Frozen raspberries

Toppings can be anything you like, but I use:
- Fresh blueberries
- Peanut butter or almond butter
- Flax seeds
- Cacao nibs

Warm the milk in a little pan on medium heat, and add oats + cinnamon once it's warm (approx. two minutes). I never measure this, but once you've done it a few times you'll know the quantities. Let it cook a little and if it seems too dry, add more milk. Once it cooks, add two big handfuls of frozen raspberries (or fresh ones if you're lucky). Stir and transfer to a bowl. I like my raspberries to still be slightly cold, as a nice contrast, but if you don't like that, cook the oatmeal for a bit longer. Then add your chosen toppings and you're done! It's quicker than you think, especially if you have a microwave (takes two minutes!).

I really love this breakfast since raspberries are my favourite! It's more fruity and interesting than regular oatmeal. The sour taste of the raspberries goes perfectly with the creamy oats! Let me know if you've tried this, or have another killer combination I should try :)
