My perfect Chai Tea Latte

Though I've become a bit of a coffee-convert over the last few months (I blame my dissertation), one of my favourite hot winter drinks is still a Chai latte. The reason why I haven't been ordering this lovely drink recently because they are always way too sweet for my taste, and most of the time it's not even home-made. I prefer my own recipe 1000 times more. Though it's also not completely made from scratch, it contains less calories than the stuff you get at Starbucks, and it also only takes a few minutes to make!


What you need:
- Two Chai tea bags (any brand you wish.. Pukka, Twinings, ClipperM&S...)
- Chai latte powder, I use Drink Me Chai, but there's different brands out there
- Semi-skimmed milk, about 130 ml
- Hot water
- Cinnamon
- A milk frother, I use this one (perfect Christmas gift!)



Start by brewing your tea by adding two tea bags to a large glass. Fill the glass for 1/2 with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes before taking out the tea bags. 

Then add the milk to the milk frother (I add the amount of milk that's indicated on the frother, which is 130 ml), together with two teaspoons of Chai Latte powder. Let it froth!

Sprinkle with cinnamon! (cardamom would also be lovely) Now enjoy your home-made Chai Latte. It's the perfect drink and much better than anything you can get at coffee places! Let me know if you'll try this recipe :)
