Ninina Bakery | Palermo, Buenos Aires

Last Sunday in Buenos Aires we went over to Palermo, which is kind of like the Soho of B.A. It's filled with small shops and cosy café's and you can literally walk around for hours discovering new things. It was an incredibly warm day so we decided to have lunch at Ninina Bakery in Palermo. (ignore the quality of the pictures, I didn't carry my camera around in the city so it's only iPhone pics I can show you)
Palermo is very different to the other neighbourhoods in B.A., very relaxed and village-like, with a touch of L.A.

Ninina Bakery is a bit like a mix between Le Pain Quotidien and Ottolenghi (pastry-wise). You can have breakfast, lunch, dinner and even cocktails here. I'd recommend breakfast or lunch! The place itself it spacious and all white marble and tiles

Ninina is heaven for when you have a sweet tooth.. take a look

My iPhone camera doesn't do the food justice at all! Anyway, the cakes looked so good and you can also pre-order the most beautiful creations for a party or special occasion.

We all ordered a blue berry and banana milkshake which was really tasty. The menu is pretty extensive and you can choose from tons of juices, shakes, salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, cakes and all the breakfast options you could wish for.

I ordered the pollo de granja grillado ensalada:

The only thing I really missed in this salad was a good dressing. There is olive oil and vinegar on the side but a good dressing would have made it perfect! You can never really go wrong with a grilled chicken salad.

We also shared a cheese plate which had some really delicious ham (though it may not look like it!)

If you're ever in Buenos Aires, check out this place for breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea. Lots of options and everything is freshly made right there! The website gives you a better idea of the restaurant and the tasty food they offer. Wish I could have tried more places in Palermo but I've still got one more place to share with you :)
