Gelupo Gelato | London

I still owe you part two of my last post. Before entering Bocca Di Lupo we spotted Bocca's little sister, Gelupo. As my sister is a big ice cream lover, we decided we had to go there after dinner, to try some of London's best gelato. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan, but oh my, I'm a gelato convert!

Gelupo is right opposite Bocca, on Archer Street in Soho. Even though it was around 9 or 10 on a Thursday night, the place was packed.

While queuing (which didn't take too long), my sister found some cookbooks to flick through.

Gelupo's interior is so cute and stuffed with Italian sweets and drinks

Of course the plump little wild peaches were the first thing that drew my attention. Was tempted to pick one!

But I decided I had to focus on the menu and start the impossible task of choosing flavours... *uhmmmm*

There's not many flavours, but they all sounds incredible and quite special. I opted for two sorbets Coconut and avocado, while my sister chose two gelati hokey pokey (honeycomb) and saffron & vanilla. I was really curious about the avocado icecream!

At £3 two scoops, it's not the cheapest ice cream we've had, but certainly some of the best. My sister was over the moon with her saffron-honeycomb combination and I really loved the coconutty and creamy avocado sorbets. Really special!

If you're around Soho this summer (or autumn, winter....), definitely pop by Gelupo for some of London's best Italian gelato with special flavours. It was the perfect ending to our Italian flavoured (literally) evening!
