Nars Sheer Glow foundation - Gobi

I haven't written about beauty things in a while but it's because I haven't bought anything beauty related the past few weeks. Except one thing (because I ran out): foundation. I wanted a foundation which perfectly matched my skin and which wasn't too heavy, so I decided to try the Nars Sheer Glow foundation.
I first asked for a sample in the colour Gobi so I could try it at home. You should always do this before buying a high-end foundation. You might really not like it, the colour might be wrong or it might break you out, you never know. Anyway this sample perfectly matched my skin and I really liked the texture of the foundation so I went ahead and bought a full-size.

Gobi is a perfect match for my skin. It has a yellow undertone which I like since my face has more red undertones than my body and I think it's nice to match your face with your body. If you've got fair skin it's quite hard to find a good colour match, but Nars has several light foundations.

Sheer Glow is exactly like it says in the name: sheer and quite glowy/dewy. If you're looking for full-coverage this isn't the foundation for you. When I wear this, my skin tone is evened out but my freckles still peek through which I like. It's perfect for the spring and summer, as most girls prefer wearing a lighter foundation then. For the glowy or dewy effect, don't worry it doesn't look oily, but very natural. I do like to wear some translucent powder over my T-zone to make it a little more matte. Quite surprising is that this foundation is scentless (a big plus for me)

Now for the only downside of this product: you need to buy the pump separately. This is a little ridiculous, especially for a high-end brand. But what's more ridiculous is that there are zero foundation pumps in the whole of London. Sold out everywhere. I'm patiently waiting for them to re-stock, but as Nars is such a big brand, this this really shouldn't be happening.

Overall, I'm really loving this foundation, it's probably the best I've ever tried. There's a reason why it's so popular! I also love the packaging, it's sleek and the glass feels luxurious. If you're looking for a light and beautiful foundation, this might be for you. It's pricey (£31) but I'd say it's worth it. I recommend going to a Nars counter to get a perfect colour match. I went to Nars at Liberty and the girl working there was really lovely.
