The Nordic Bakery cinnamon bun

For a split second I wanted to include this in my previous London post, but I just had to dedicate a full blog post to this little piece of heaven. Slightly crisp and sticky on the outside, soft and spicy on the inside, this Finnish cinnamon bun is the best I've tasted so far. It's one of the Nordic Bakery's best sellers, and I completely understand why. I munched on one of these big buns throughout the day, savoring it, and craving it again the next morning. It might not be very pretty, but it's so tasty...

Luckily for me, there are 3 Nordic Bakery locations spread across central London and they have a cookbook with the recipe for the famous cinnamon buns. Someone posted it online and I'll be trying out this recipe soon!

If this cinnamon bun tastes this amazing when it's hot and sunny outside, I can't even begin to think how good it will be with a big cup of tea and a soft cozy blanket, while watching London getting covered in white snow. Sounds romantic, doesn't it? I'll be eating these buns all year round! 

The Nordic Bakery description of the buns: "We bake them on their sides so that the buttery, sweet cinnamon filling stays enclosed in the bun. Then, when they are still warm, we brush with a glaze, giving them a gleaming deep bronze coat. Firm and sticky on top, yet soft and inviting on the inside, our cinnamon buns make the day better."
