Ristorante Da Enzo | Tegna

I usually don't really write about restaurants outside London, except when they are too good not to tell you about. Da Enzo is one of those. Hidden in a valley and between the linden trees, it's one of my favourite restaurants in the Ticino area. The garden, the heavy stone tables, the beautiful table setting and the delicious food steal my heart time after time.

The hosts, Enzo and Josi will always make sure you have everything you need. There's always some specials on the menu which they talk you through. While you wait for your food, you'll get little amuse-bouches like a small carrot soup and this time also thin crispy dough with freshly grated black truffle on top.

As a starter I orderd tuna sashimi with avocado and lobster salad. So good, I forgot to take photos. But my main course is what it's all about..

Like last year, I ordered the Da Enzo pasta with lobster and tomato sauce. Utterly delicious, and if I remember well, it was a little more spicy this year. I wish I could eat this more often!

My neighbour's Cavatelli with frutti di mare.

Da Enzo may be quite expensive, but it's definitely worth it. Don't miss it if you're in the area! It's a beautiful restaurant with great service and incredible food, it never disappoints.
