The Little Black Jacket | Saatchi Gallery

Today, a special little post for everyone who will be in London between now and the 28th of October. Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld have worked together on a photographic exhibition on the theme: Coco Chanel's iconic little black jacket.

"The public will discover the versatility and timelessness of the iconic CHANEL jacket
through Karl Lagerfeld's 113 photographs, modelled on a range of friends of the House, with each personality adapting the garment to reflect their own inimitable style - worn as a cape on singer Lily Allen, draped around model Stella Tennant, or even transformed into a vest on model Edie Campbell.
Running simultaneously with the exhibition, window displays in CHANEL's Bond Street, Sloane Street and Brompton Cross boutiques will present a selection of jackets from the latest collections." more information

I had a little look myself last Friday and I absolutely loved the versatility of the little black jacket that was shown in those 113 photographs. Every picture was so different yet they all had one thing in common. Karl and Carine were able to capture each personality so well through styling and different poses.

Another great thing is that you get three BIG posters for free. But people were going pretty crazy over the posters so one room was a bit chaotic ("Everyone only take ONE OF EACH!") which kind of ruined that part of the exhibition for me.. It would have been better to put the free posters in a separate room. But still cool to receive free posters.

I took loads of pictures for the ones who don't have the chance to go to this exhibition. Have a look at my favorites..
