Tips for Monday blues

Monday blues. We've all experienced it (some more than others). Waking up Monday morning, not wanting to leave the bed and just feeling generally low-spirited and annoyed most of the day. Everyone knows the feeling so today I'll share tips for my readers that also have a hard time getting out of bed (because that's the worst part about Monday's).

- Set your alarm on the right day and time. Maybe an obvious one but quite a few of my Mondays have gone wrong just because my alarm didn't go off when it should have OR I simply slept through them. Of course that's entirely my phone's fault.

- Set two or more alarms if necessary so you can snooze a couple of times without waking up an hour too late realizing that that five minute snooze was multiplied by twelve

- Have something to look forward to. Whether it's that hot morning coffee, a dinner with a friend or a new episode of Gossip Girl coming out later in the day, it's always good to have something that makes you want to get up in the morning and start your day.

- Take a quick morning shower to wake you up. Getting out of your warm bed is a lot easier with the thought of  jumping into a hot shower right away. Almost just as good.

- Have a good breakfast. A big fat cliche but where else will you get the energy from to do all the things you need to do on a Monday; long lectures, working or taking public transport at rush hour, it all requires some energy. You might want to treat yourself with a pancake breakfast or a big smoothie; you deserve it!

- Listen to music that makes you happy; m
usic can really affect your mood. Make a play list you can listen to when you're showering or waiting for the bus.

- Try not to be moody all day. After all it's Monday for everyone and it will be easier to get through the day with a smile on your face, even if it's a fake one.

Of course, you can apply these tips to pretty much every day of the week. I hope it helps!
